My Aussie Life

In September 2015, I moved to Melbourne, Australia to live and work for a year.

As a US citizen, this is made possible through the Subclass 462 - Work and Holiday (Temporary) visa, which offers under-30 US citizens the opportunity to live and work in Australia for up to twelve months*.

To learn more about my visa application experience and details on the opportunity, check out my Working Holiday Guide to Australia.

*Since the time of my application, this visa has changed to allow US citizens to live and work in Australia for up to 24 months, if certain stipulations are met by the candidate.

During my year down under, I am excited to explore the different regions of the vast continent. I've never visited any part of Oceania before.

Although I have a few mandatory Aussie items in mind - hello, koala snuggle fest! - I am still crafting My Australian Bucket List and I am actively seeking suggestions from readers. If you or any friends have suggestions for my year in Oz, please let me know!

Thanks for following along & Happy Travels!
