A Photo Journal of the Dingle Peninsula

Over my first few weeks living outside of Dingle, I have taken countless photographs.

The Dingle Peninsula, Kerry, is one of Ireland's most beautiful spots, its rich mixture of rolling hills and rugged coastline jutting out into the Atlantic; nature at it best. Visitors come from all over the world to admire the dramatic scenery. - Michael Smith, An Unsung Hero

Though my time here has yet to be effectively detailed and documented in posts, my personal journals are teeming with observations, first impressions, and reflections; each of these lively entries is seeping with the excitement and curiosity of one who is observing a culture for the first time, as well as constantly echoing the blissful feeling of sinking into a long-awaited routine. Suffice to say, I'm loving the new perspective of Irish culture I am being granted by this summer opportunity in Ballyferriter.

Hopefully, this photo essay will effectively share my Irish adventure to date - a bit of stunning landscape, a bit of the neighboring towns, and a bit of getting to know my Irish host family and new friends.

I hope to share stories, learned Irish customs and "fun facts" and give a more comprehensive overview of my time here in my future posts. Until then, enjoy!
