This summer I am HelpX-ing at a small bed and breakfast outside of Dingle, Ireland. From the beginning of June through the end of August, I will be exploring Irish culture, hopefully making new friends, and learning more about the inner workings of the B&B world. Although I hope to run a B&B of my own one day and would certainly never scoff at new friends, I am most excited to explore Irish culture for the summer!
In my previous visits to the Emerald Isle I have visited Dublin, Galway, Dingle, Killarney, Connemara National Park, the Cliffs of Moher, Aryn Island, and Wicklow – in no particular order. This past May I was able to visit Northern Ireland for a few days, and I really enjoyed learning about the local history and soaking up the incredible landscapes. I have always loved the brief glimpses of Irish culture that I experienced during these travels, but these trips never seemed quite long enough.
After my wonderful experience with HelpX in Portugal earlier this year, I decided to check out working holiday opportunities for the summer in Ireland. After a few messages, emails, and FaceTimes I found the perfect fit and booked my tickets.
